How the Purple Pegasus Came to Be

The black and cream cat is me,
And I will tell you how the purple pegasus came to be.
It came from us cats you see;
Two ordinary cats,
Though they liked to wear hats...
Bob and Tether (they had the world's biggest litter.)
Fred and George, Missy and me, and Hether and Fether,
Finally Missy and Mittens,
Had a purple pegasus and named it Pippins.
Mom's comment: "It defies all genetic science, but it's cute and it rhymes."
Undaunted, Jana exclaimed, "It's a poem!"
